The New Year has brought a lot of growth and development to the girls. Molly is crawling all over the house and is very adventurous and curious with exploring. Tess just starting full out crawling this past weekend so she is loving it. Maddy is still doing her army crawl but she can get where she needs to get and fast. They are funny to watch play together now and steal each others toys. Maddy started her sounds earlier in the month and her latest thing is rolling her tongue to make this trill sound. She is great at it and it is so funny to listen to her. Molly just started making sounds last week (BaBa) so they are all now where they should be I guess.
At their 8 month check-up they measured the following:
Molly - 14 lbs, 10 oz.; 26"
Madeline - 14 lbs, 7 oz.; 25"
Tess - 14 lbs, 12 oz.; 26"
They girls all now have 2 bottom teeth which makes them look so much older. In fact, just yesterday it was really hitting me how much bigger/older they look. I took Tess to our first "Mommy and Me" type of class. It was a music class and she just happened to be the only one awake at the time so we went together. It was just around the corner so it was nice and convenient and it was great. So interactive with bouncing balls, scarfs, bubbles, etc. and the lady played lots of great songs on her guitar. Tess just loved it so I can't wait to take all of them someday.
We are still doing the One Life to Live gig and the girls still seem to enjoy it. I was wondering if the "stranger anxiety" would start to set in when they take them away from me to the set but they don't seem to even notice that I'm not there. They love looking around at everyone.
We've started the house-hunting slowly but surely and are mainly looking around NJ/NY area for Dennis' job. The girls are all in their own room now which has been going pretty well. They are sleeping better and better at night. I'd say 50% of the week we don't have to get up before 4:30/5 and the other 50% of the time there is someone that wakes up in the middle of the night (for long enough that we feel the need to take them out of their crib and feed them or whatever). It is not the same baby every time. On a good night, a couple of them will wake up around 5ish and we'll feed and then get them back to bed and they'll sleep until around 7ish. Another baby might wake up around 6am and sometimes go back to sleep for another hour or if we're really lucky one baby might even sleep through until 7. Every night is different and still unpredictable but there is now a light in sight.
I think that is about all for now, hope everyone is having a great 2009 so far!
