We met in Newport, RI on December 6th 2002 through family/friends at the wedding of Kevin & Tara West. We dated long distance from Boston/Tampa until moving to Hoboken, NJ together. We were married on August 13th, 2005 in Binghamton, NY with a huge wedding celebration. We are now entering the next phase of our lives as we are expecting triplets and couldn't be more excited. The technical due date is June 14th (cousin Becky Smith O'Loughlin's Birthday), but we know that triplets do not go the full 40 weeks. So, we will be expecting them to arrive sometime in April or May. We've decided to stay put in Hoboken for the short-term since we just bought this place 1 year ago and we'd like to stay in this area where there is good medical care. Plus, there is not much time with this pregnancy to make any moves. We'll see where we end up in the next year or so. We hope this blog will be informative and entertaining for our friends and family who are supporting us through this journey.
Doctor/Hospital Info
We are under the care of Dr. David Principe. His office is in Elmwood Park, NJ but he is also in Hoboken 2x a week at Hoboken University Hospital. So, we get to see him in both places for check-ups/ultrasounds. He is affiliated with St. Joseph's hospital in Paterson, NJ which is a high-risk/Level III hospital where we will have the babies. He specializes in high-risk pregnancies and was referred/recommended to us by several other doctors. We have already begun to trust him completely and feel really lucky that he is our doctor. He has a great personality and is so attentive. He never seems to be too rushed, it seems he will sit and talk to us for as long as we want. He has four kids himself and seems to genuinely love what he does and has fun with everyone around him. He is also very direct and tells it like it is which we like. He is matter-of-fact about all the risks involved with a multiple pregnancy but also reflects a positive attitude about it all and is always very reassuring. We are so grateful he is our doctor!
