9 Month Mark

Well, the girls turned 9 months old on Saturday, February 7th. Another milestone to celebrate in this first year with our triplet girls. To celebrate, Dennis and I went away to Mohonk Mountain Lake Inn which is in New Paltz, NY and it was so nice. We left Saturday morning and came back on Sunday after breakfast. We xcountry skied, ice skated and had great meals at this place. It was so nice to sleep through the night! The girls were very good for my parents who watched them while we were gone so that was nice too. This night away was sort of a 3 in 1 celebration for my Birthday and Valentines Day too.

The girls are so much fun to watch right now. They play together and entertain each other and laugh at each other. It is just a riot to hear their little giggles at each other. Right now Molly is actually on all fours with her head upside down looking at her sisters and laughing. So funny. I said in a previous post that they all had 2 bottom teeth. But, actually Madeline only has one so she looks so cute with her 1 bottom tooth showing. Tess has this great hairdo going where she looks like she has a mohawk because of the majority of her hair being top center. Molly has been especially vocal and giddy this last week.

We took the girls out to eat a couple times this week which we hadn't done since they were very little and could sleep through it. This can really only be done with three people so one day my mom, dad and I took them to lunch. It was a mexican restuarant before the lunch rush and so we were the only ones there. The staff were so accomodating and nice to us so it worked out great. Now that they can sit up, we have the option of putting them in the restuarant high chairs or they would just sit in their carseats at the table. They love walking around the restaurant with us carrying them to see all the sights too. On my Birthday, Dennis and my parents and the girls all went to brunch at a diner which was fun. Later that night, Dennis and I went out to dinner and afterwards went to the bar down the street. A two man band was playing and they were great. They heard I had triplets and that it was my birthday and played that Bob Marley song "Three Little Birds...". So cute and appropriate and memorable.

We're still on the house hunt and managed to see some homes in Hawthorne, NJ which is nice. One day we had to bring the girls with us which meant Dennis driving around while I ran in and then vice versa. Not fun.

Well, I suppose that is all for now. Things are going well and we are really enjoying the 9 month age with the girls.
